According to WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley, Rob Gronkowski may be making the transition to professional wrestling. After nine seasons and three Superbowl wins, Gronk announced his retirement from the NFL, effectively ending his hall of fame career.
Mojo Rawley, a longtime close friend of Gronkowski was quickly interviewed by TMZ after rumors began running rampant that Gronk may be coming to the WWE after his Wrestlemania appearance in Orlando a few years ago. Rawley had this to say about Gronkowski signing a WWE contract:
“That wouldn’t shock me one bit! He’s always been a wrestling fan, at WrestleMania he was really excited about it, and we still joke around about that moment. Yeah man, in the future, I’m sure you’ll see him inside a WWE ring in one capacity or another.”
Rawley seems pretty sure that one day Gronk will appear in a WWE ring again and with all of his free time, star power, and love of wrestling, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him in some capacity very soon.
