As previously reported here on eWn, Adam Cole’s contract with WWE is set to expire this month.

In an update, Fightful has reported that WWE assumed that Cole’s contract was set to expire in December. However, it was actually set to expire in July. Upon realization of this, the company was able to come to terms on a one month agreement/extension with Cole.
