AEW teased a glimpse of their “new Dynamite” for 2023 during the final episode of Rampage last year.
Fightful Select reports that AEW is set to alter certain aspects of its scheduled 2023 broadcasts. Will Washington from the Grapsody podcast has several AEW sources claiming that although “Light the Fuse” by No One Hero will remain as AEW Dynamite’s official theme song, fans can expect to hear an altered version this year. The new version will be a “slight remix” of the original track.
AEW’s Tony Khan had previously stated that Dynamite will sport a revamped look and feel with respect to the changes to the set and production, as well as overall presentation. Consistency will also be applied to the broadcast team. Now, in a recent interview with Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, Khan shared some additional details about the changes that are officially underway. He said,
“It’s a sports-based presentation and that’s what we always go for. It’s a great pro wrestling show and we wanted to change the set to reflect a new era, and I think it’s going to be a great look. It’s a great set. It’s still going to be the same great wrestling with new matches and new stories and a lot to look forward to.”
“I think [it] may, but Revolution traditionally has its own color scheme. Traditionally, we’ve had that kind of green futuristic look that will actually flow really well with a set and design we have now. It’s set up for those kind of color changes. With that grid matrix we have now, it’s very consistent, and more similar to Revolution than anything else we have.”
