A new report has surfaced whether two of AEW’s biggest stars – Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley – will be working NJPW’s upcoming show at MSG.
NJPW is returning to Madison Square Garden for an event that is called Wrestle Dynasty that will go down in New York City on Saturday, August 22.
With such a big show, fans have been wondering whether Moxley, who is the IWGP United States Champion, and Jericho will be working the show. It turns out that they won’t.
Dave Meltzer noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that while Jericho and Moxley have separate contracts with NJPW that allows them to work for the promotion despite having deals with AEW, the NJPW contracts won’t allow them to work in America. This is a stipulation in their contracts with NJPW that prevents them from doing so.
Thus, unless the two promotions work out a deal that would change this stipulation, Moxley and Jericho won’t be there.
