The January 11 edition of AEW Dynamite saw The Elite regain the AEW World Trios Championships in a Best-of-Seven series with Death Triangle with a series-deciding win in an Escalera de la Muerte ladder match.
The finish saw The Elite win the series 4-3, regaining the titles they lost hours after winning them at All Out 2022 due to their suspension over the infamous All Out brawl.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The Young Bucks’ Nick Jackson worked the series hurt.
Meltzer noted that Jackson had been dealing with a broken toe for the majority of the series, revealing that The Elite member had been hurting even when walking around. Jackson’s injury is healing up and he can now walk around without ‘that much discomfort.’
