Kazuchika Okada’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is set to expire this month, and there is a lot of interest in him from AEW and WWE.
WWE believes that there is a real possibility of Okada joining them. People in WWE believe that they have a better chance of signing him now compared to before.
Additionally, AEW is believed to have made a strong initial offer to Okada.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that, “For Okada, the last word was that he had not made up his mind. I know people here range from hopeful to I’d perceive as confident he will be coming. If he was to sign, the likely arrival would be around the Greensboro show with his final New Japan date on 2/24. If it was WWE, I could see them holding off until WrestleMania.”
