Conor McGregor couldn’t prevent himself from reacting to CNBC’s report that WWE is finalizing a sale to Endeavor Group, the parent company of UFC.
McGregor, who is set to return to the Octagon later this year, tweeted a photo of himself with the UFC and WWE Title belts with “#itsinevitable” in the caption. He wrote,
“Congrats to the @ufc now worth a cool Proper $12bn. Wow! Endeavor bout to scoop the @WWE now also. Incredible. What a powerhouse!”
Paul Heyman took note of McGregor’s tweet and called the decorated UFC athlete a “Roman Reigns wannabe.”
Following his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier, McGregor will be back in the cage later this year, and welcoming him back will be UFC star and multi-time Bellator Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler.
