Petey Williams Apologizes for Others Overusing the Canadian Destroyer

The Canadian Destroyer finisher has become a somewhat overused move in wrestling over the past year, with AEW seemingly using it once a show, and NXT using it frequently as well. NXT Champion Adam Cole made it part of his arsenal, although renamed the ‘Panama Sunrise’. Rey Mysterio also adopted it since returning to WWE.

It happened at least twice on Worlds Collide last night, and the move’s creator, Impact Wrestling producer and X-Division wrestler Petey Williams, felt the need to apologize to fans on Twitter.
