Cody Rhodes’ incredible performance at WWE Hell in a Cell is something that’s still talked about amongst fans of pro wrestling. Rhodes had suffered a torn pectoral muscle while training before the event and decided to pull through and wrestle the entire match against Seth Rollins. Rhodes has been receiving praise from everywhere, including those within AEW. Now, a longtime friend of Rhodes has come out to give his thoughts on his performance at the event.
AEW’s QT Marshall posted a message on Twitter praising his long-time friend. Despite being in separate companies, Rhodes and Marshall remain friends and business partners. Marshall, in his message, made it clear that he doesn’t care whether Rhodes is in a different company; he still respects the hell out of him.

Marshall and Rhodes own and operate “The Nightmare Factory” professional wrestling school in Atlantic, Georgia. Marshall recently spoke about the two still keeping in touch with one another, but that Rhodes doesn’t go into detail about the inner goings of WWE.
“We talk every day. Every day,” QT told Desert Island Graps. “He doesn’t go into full detail of what’s going to happen when he’s about to go out [in WWE], but obviously, we still communicate. He’s the closest thing I have to a best friend, I guess. He’s somebody that really went above and beyond to open a door for me, and he’ll be the first to tell you he opened the door. I did all the work. You do need it sometimes, you do need someone to open that door for you, and he was willing to do it.”
Rhodes had successful pectoral surgery this past Thursday and isn’t expected to return to in-ring action for at least nine months. Rhodes was written off television this past week on Monday Night RAW following an attack from Seth Rollins.
