During a recent appearance on Booker T’s Heated Conversations radio show, WWE Superstar Randy Orton discussed his recent social media comments regarding NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Kaepernick’s decision to kneel while the National Anthem is played during NFL games. Kaepernick has said he is doing it to protest racial oppression. The complete podcast is available at the link provided.
Regarding Kaepernick, Orton said, “I’d rather hear what the man has to say. And in the recent weeks I know he’s talked a lot about what his issue was, and I respect the issues. This world is a scary place. People are dying. There’s a lot of issues and everyone needs to unite together, as hard as that may seem, and talk about the issues. Kneeling when the national anthem is played or the pledge of allegiance is played, I just disagree with the way that he did it.”
