The ratings from Sunday’s edition of WWE: Biography on A&E are in. This week’s episode took a look at WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella). Numbers were down overall compared to last week’s episode which highlighted another WWE Hall of Famer – Goldberg.
The episode drew an average audience of 420,000 viewers, down from the 594,000 that the Goldberg episode drew. This is the lowest audience for the program since its debut.
In the key P18-49 demographic, the show averaged a 0.12 rating. That’s down from the 0.16 rating across the same demo compared to last week’s episode.
On the whole, Biography: WWE Legends finished 30th on the night for cable shows, tumbling from their slot at #11 for last week.
But while Biography: WWE Legends didn’t do the numbers that last week’s show did, another WWE-centric show on A&E saw a surge. WWE Rivals, a series that aired after Biography on the same network, actually drew better numbers. This week’s show featured The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin and it drew 423,000 viewers. This is an improvement over last week’s episode, which drew only 390,000 viewers, and focused on the Undertaker vs. Kane rivalry. The episode highlighting Rock vs. Austin even outdrew the episode featuring Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels. The Hart/Michaels episode drew 368,000 viewers.
This week’s edition of Rivals was the highest-viewed episode of the series to date. The show drew a respectable rating of 0.15, and was ranked #20 for cable originals on the night. It isn’t often that Rivals outperforms Biography, but it happened this week. We’ll see if the trend continues in the weeks to come.
Finally, the newest episode of WWE Smack Talk on A&E drew 212,000 viewers and pulled a 0.07 rating. The show ended the night ranked #52.
