According to a post by John Pollock of POST Wrestling, WWE chose the specific five acts from NXT to call up that they did because of their strong character work. The acts being moved to the main roster are Nikki Cross, EC3, Lars Sullivan, Heavy Machinery, and Lacey Evans.
It is also being said that creative would love to have called up names who were higher on the card, but they needed to leave NXT Live Events with a strong base.
