In the wake of today’s WWE releases, a new report from Fightful Select has stated that not all released talent will be subject to the same length of time on their non-compete clauses.
The report specifically points out the difference between Tony Nese and August Grey’s non-compete clauses, with the former having the standard 90-day clause, whilst Grey’s clause will expire in just 30 days.
Whilst the report does not give an exact reason for the disparity between individuals, it could be as a result of certain talent being on main roster contracts. Nese for example was a part of 205 Live when it was still part of the main roster, and not under the NXT umbrella. Whereas this was not the case for Grey who was a recent signee.
