There appears to be some tension between Kota Ibushi and New Japan Pro Wrestling these days.
Ibushi took to Twitter this week and it looks like he has a problem with NJPW management, accusing them of being “sexually harassing bosses, from the company president’s lies to his unreasonable power harrasments this time … Get prepared for this! [Tokyo Sports] and TV Asahi too. I don’t care.”
Several screenshots of some messages between the NJPW star and Kikushi (translated by Google) from the popular Asian mobile app “LINE” have surfaced online. For those unaware, Kikushi is part of NJPW’s talent relations department.
Kikuchi reportedly threatened to end Ibushi’s contract after he appeared at a “Just Tap Out” event without Kikuchi’s approval. Following this, Ibushi told NJPW officials that he was ready for the New Japan Cup and was scheduled to win the whole thing. Instead, Kikuchi pulled him from the tournament at the advice of a doctor over a “minor concern.”
As of this writing, there is no word on when these conversations between Ibushi and Kikuchi took place but they appear to be fairly recent.
