Shelton Benjamin was one of over twenty main roster and WWE NXT talents who were released from WWE last week.
According to a report from Fightful Select, several AEW talents had been going to bat for Benjamin over the summer. There were several names who pitched for him to join the company when there were rumors (eventually proven wrong) that his WWE contract would be coming to an end.
Additionally, it was said that AEW has also been looking to add producers to the company. The idea is to get to a point where all of the producers only have to produce one match per show.
