Currently, Tito Ortiz is training to be a professional wrestler at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
In recent years, several MMA fighters have transitioned to professional wrestling. This isn’t the first time WWE and Tito Ortiz have been linked together. In 2003, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion had brief talks with WWE about joining the company.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reported the following: “Tito Ortiz is training to be a professional wrestler at the Performance Center as we speak. He was there all week and I heard great things about his work ethic, which doesn’t surprise me, his enthusiasm, which doesn’t surprise me.”
Previously, Ortiz has had several appearances with IMPACT Wrestling over the years which included some guest refereeing roles. In August 2013, Ortiz resurfaced in the promotion very briefly as a member of the faction Aces & Eights.
