William Regal quit AEW in 2022 and one of the conditions of his early release was that he wouldn’t be able to appear on WWE television for a year.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Regal’s non-compete will expire soon, making him eligible to appear on WWE programming.
When Regal parted ways with AEW, he had declared that he wouldn’t be appearing on WWE TV. Shawn Michaels is the current authority figure on NXT, Nick Aldis is the General Manager of SmackDown, and Adam Pearce runs RAW.
Hence, unless Regal shows up for a cameo or becomes a manager replacing any one of the aforementioned names, it’s unlikely The Lordship will appear on WWE TV any time soon.
