AEW is planning its return to USTA Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City for this year’s Dynamite: Grand Slam event.
The first show, held in 2021, saw Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (with Jamie Hayter and Rebel) defeat Ruby Soho by submission to retain the AEW Women’s Championship. The 2022 show saw Jon Moxley defeat Bryan Danielson to win the vacant AEW World Heavyweight Title as part of a tournament.
Both shows drew over one million viewers on television. Now, the third event is in the works.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast noted that September 20th is the date for this year’s event.
