In a recent interview with Bill Apter on WrestleBinge by Sportskeeda, WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat discussed the changes in the pro wrestling industry from when he started out in the business until now.
Steamboat commented on the modern trend of heels getting cheered simply for being entertaining. He said,
“The fans started making adjustments, rooting for the heels solely because ‘I know he plays the role of a bad guy, but I like the way he entertains me.’”
