As we reported earlier here on eWn, a ‘fan’ was ejected from the most recent AEW and ROH TV tapings after a series of obscene comments aimed at Skye Blue.
After the taping of AEW Dynamite and Ring of Honor, a fan on Reddit shared that Blue had been harassed during her ROH match against Rachel Ellering.
The crowd member, who was sitting with his child, could be seen throughout the contest making vulgar comments toward Blue, mostly based on her appearance. The harassment became louder as the match went along, even though several other fans in the area asked him to stop with his insulting comments.
After the match, Blue immediately made her way backstage and was visibly upset while Aubrey Edwards went to security and demanded the fan be removed.
After security got involved, the man put up a fight as they attempted to remove him which resulted in more people getting involved before he was eventually ejected.
Rachael Ellering, Aubrey Edwards, Chelsea Green, and others took to social media to react to the fan being kicked out of the ROH taping for harassing Skye Blue.
Edwards wrote,
“If you yell disgusting, vile, hateful things at my coworkers, I will make sure your ass gets kicked out.
There is no place for that in wrestling.
Heckling is fine, but when you’ve made the performers (me included) feel uncomfortable in their place of work, you’ve gone too far.”
Ellering added,
“The speed in which @RefAubrey and I got out of the ring last night post match to get this creep kicked out was remarkable. Olympic medalist speeds.
I’ve NEVER in my career heard such vulgar things being said to talent during a match.
Sexual harassment is not heckling.”
“I do want to say this:
Thank you very much to the rowdy, respectful fans that come out to enjoy the show and support. We really appreciate you!
This guy wasn’t a fan. He was a pervert who should be banned from shows for life.”
