Actor Kevin Anton will be portraying the late Harley Race in the upcoming Von Erich biopic ‘The Iron Claw.’
Newswires were the first to break the news of Anton’s casting as the legendary wrestler who was the first holder of what is recognized today as the WWE United States Championship.
The Iron Claw will detail the life and careers of the Von Erich wrestling family, which began with patriarch Fritz Von Erich.
Anton recently appeared in Showtime’s seven-part limited series, ‘The Loudest Voice,’ based on a bestselling book about the founder of Fox News Roger Ailes.
He has also had roles in shows including Still Here, American Dresser, and Gotham.
Anton will be joined by AEW World Champion MJF, who will portray Lance Von Erich, and Zac Efron who will play Kevin Von Erich.
A24, the production company behind hits including The Lighthouse and Midsommar, has yet to publish a release date, but the consensus is that the film will premiere sometime in 2023.
