During Sunday night’s WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan to retain his title. Edge, who was the special enforcer for the match, got involved and struck both Bryan and Reigns with a steel chair after Bryan had accidentally struck him in the back with a chairshot earlier on. After Edge took out both men, Reigns was able to recover more quickly and covered Bryan for the three count.
We will now see Roman Reigns vs. Edge for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37. It remains to be seen whether Daniel Bryan has any involvement in that match after Sunday night’s angle at Payback.
