Following this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, a rumor circulated about the fallout from MJF’s promo. According to the rumor, the Nassau County Police Department was “flooded” with calls regarding MJF’s account of a car accident. According to the Nassau County Police Department, that didn’t happen at all.
ESPN’s Marc Raimondi reported on Twitter that he reached out to the Nassau police department after Wednesday’s show. No one there knew what he was talking about. He did note that some sources say there is some truth to the original story, but all in all, it was just a heck of a work by MJF and AEW. You can see his tweets on the matter below:
I’ve heard from several people who have said there is truth to the original story. Either way, it was a phenomenal, sinister, disturbing promo by MJF and the question of whether something is real or not is what wrestling is all about. So, huge win for him and AEW.
