Beginning October 4, 2019, FOX broadcast network will air WWE SmackDown Live as part of a new five-year agreement with FOX Sports. The weekly, two-hour live event will air 52 weeks a year.
Twitter account @WrestleVotes noted the following regarding WWE Smackdown’s move to FOX:
“When the move to FOX happens, expect SmackDown to be shot with different cameras. WWE tested out some newer, much more expensive technology recently and said to have liked what it produced. It will seem cinematic like, similar to some WWE24 footage.”
