“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry is scheduled to challenge Sanada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday night at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II pay-per-view event.
While speaking to Tokyo Sports, Sanada commented on the match and he took some shots at his challenger (translation courtesy of @CiaranRH93 on Twitter). He said,
“I have no knowledge of Jack Perry. It’s sad to see someone like that challenge for the IWGP [Title]. Is an open challenge really that easy to decide? It’s the IWGP, I think it’s worth more than the AEW Championship.”
