During Saturday night’s 2022 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, we saw WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns lose to Seth Rollins via DQ after he refused to relinquish the Guillotine Choke on Rollins.
At the beginning of the match, Rollins came out through the crowd in full-blown “Shield” ring attire and theme music to psyche out Roman Reigns.
Following the DQ finish, Reigns viciously attacked Rollins with numerous chairshots. This is similar to what Rollins did to Reigns when he broke up The Shield in 2014.
