Shawn Michaels has had his fair share of on-screen battles with the McMahon family but has praised Vince and Shane as being “unbelievably giving” in the ring.
Michaels had a lengthy feud with the McMahons in 2006 which saw HBK reunite D-Generation X with Triple H to even the odds.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Michaels had nothing but praise for the father and son duo. He said,
“Talk about two guys that are unbelievably giving and open to darn near anything under the sun. They were hustlers who just worked so hard, there wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do.”
Michaels added that despite neither Vince nor Shane being professionally trained in the traditional sense, it was easy to work with them in the ring.
Michaels would defeat Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 22, lose in a handicap match at the following Backlash, and DX would defeat the McMahons & The Big Show inside Hell in a Cell at Unforgiven 2006.
