Sheamus won Money in the Bank seven years ago and cashed in successfully to become WWE Champion. Although Sheamus has yet to enter this year’s match, the Celtic Warrior seemingly already has plans for how he might cash in if he wins the briefcase.
Speaking to The Five Count, Sheamus hinted that he plans on cashing in for the Intercontinental Championship. He said,
“I’m not the type of person to jump around, but the IC Title is the number one on the priority list. If I win Money in the Bank, I’ll probably use it to cash-in for an IC Title shot. That’s how much I want that championship to go with every single thing, every other award that I’ve won in WWE. The goal is to be the first-ever Ultimate Grand Slam Champion in WWE. I’m just so close, I can taste it.”
If Sheamus does win the briefcase on July 2nd and cash in on the IC champ, it will be the first time a Money in the Bank briefcase is cashed in for a mid-card title. Fans will have to wait and see whether Sheamus will make that happen.
