Sheamus arrived on the scene in 2009, appearing on ECW and going on a hot streak as the undefeated Celtic Warrior. Once he switched to Monday Night RAW, he was immediately allowed to challenge for the WWE Championship at TLC. Sheamus would capture the title after defeating John Cena and become one of WWE’s most reliable Superstars. Although Sheamus has had his fair share of injuries, he recently has been performing at the highest level. Now, Sheamus may be teasing a lighter WWE schedule in the future.

While speaking on “The Five Count” podcast, Sheamus said that a lighter schedule would help him maintain his longevity in the company.

“I think it’d keep it fresh, it’d be great to do acting a couple of months and then back in the ring a couple of months,” Sheamus said. “Adds to the longevity as well. So yeah, I love being in front of the camera whether it’s promos, backstage, or in the ring wrestling, or movies, or TV shows, whatever it is, it’s a fun job.”

Sheamus is scheduled to compete in this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match. He recently teased that he’d challenge for a mid-card title if he were to win the briefcase.
