Since RETRIBUTION split on the WWE Fastlane kick-off show back in March, the members have largely had limited screen time on WWE TV. The split also resulted in both Slapjack (Shane Thorne) and Reckoning (Mia Yim) move to SmackDown. According to a new report from Fightful Select, nobody in WWE told Slapjack that he would be moving brands.

The report notes that the move was done without Thorne being informed. And, it wasn’t until other wrestlers told him after he started to appear on internal roster sheets, that he was made aware of the move.

His fellow former RETRIBUTION member Reckoning has not appeared on SmackDown since the brand switch. Slapjack meanwhile, has not wrestled on WWE TV since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 37. Thorne has worked a pair of dark matches on SmackDown as Slapjack on June 25 and July 16. He wrestled as a babyface on both occasions.
