Pwinsider is reporting that WWE is “very close” to finalizing a deal with Stacy Keibler to induct her into the Hall of Fame class of 2023, which would make her the first female member of the class.
It was said the talks have been going on for a few weeks now. One source stated that the deal was “99% done,” while a second source noted the induction is likely, but not a done deal yet.
After working for WCW in 1999, she joined WWE when they bought the rival promotion in 2001, where Keibler continued to be used as a manager. She left the company in 2006.
Last week on SmackDown, WWE announced Rey Mysterio as the 2023 Hall of Fame headliner. Konnan is expected to induct him. The Great Muta is also expected to be announced soon.
The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, March 31, from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA.
