WrestleMania 38 (Night One) ended with what was going to be the “KO Show” segment featuring Kevin Owens and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Throughout the segment, Owens continued to belittle Austin, the fans, and the state of Texas. Owens would then officially challenge Austin to a “No Holds Barred” match. Austin, who hasn’t officially wrestled a match in 19 years and has since retired, accepted the challenge.
The match ended with Austin hitting Owens with a Stone Cold Stunner to pick up the pinfall victory. After the match, Austin celebrated with the WWE Universe with his traditional beer bash routine, then dropped WWE commentator Byron Saxton with a Stunner after inviting him into the ring for a beer, then gave one more Stunner for good measure to Kevin Owens as he tried to get up to his feet.
