‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has said that appearing on WWE programming was like “therapy” for him during his tenure as a full-time Superstar.

Unquestionably one of the most popular wrestlers of all time, Austin retired from the ring in 2003 but had one more match last year at WrestleMania 38.

Speaking to “The Wrestling Classic,” Austin said that competing on TV was like therapy as much of his WWE schedule was far from glamorous. He explained,

“I tell people when you get dragged out on the roads, living this life it’s a hard life. We had good times, bad times, just like anybody else, but you’re on the road.

“A lot of times when I went to ‘Monday Night Raw,’ it was like going to therapy to me. So when I heard, ‘Hey, you’re doing this, you’re tearing this up, you’re tearing up,’ I specialize in tearing things up.”

While there have been rumors of Austin appearing at WrestleMania 39, a match has yet to be announced for the Texas Rattlesnake.
