Talks between WWE and Naomi regarding the former SmackDown Women’s Champion’s potential return to TV are still going on, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Naomi and Sasha Banks (now NJPW’s Mercedes Mone’) walked out of the May 16, 2022 episode of Monday Night RAW over a creative dispute.
Both were subsequently stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships and suspended.
In the Observer, Dave Meltzer writes that “talks are ongoing but nothing has been signed as of midweek.”
Naomi, alongside fellow WWE Superstar Bayley, attended Wrestle Kingdom 17 this week to watch Mone’s debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
