WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase Sr. has praised CM Punk as a highlight in a wrestling business that has become “high-flying junk.”
On a recent edition of his “Everybody’s Got A Pod” podcast, DiBiase Sr. critiqued the current state of professional wrestling. He said,
“It’s just become all this high-flying junk. I’ve seen these guys take beautiful bumps [and get up straight after.]”
DiBiase Sr. added that CM Punk represents what wrestlers should aspire to be, stating that he will “die on that hill.” He added,
“[Punk] wrestles a more old-school way and that’s my whole [thing].”
CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 after close to a decade away. While a feud with Seth Rollins has been teased, there is no word on when he’ll compete.
