Becky Lynch & Trish Stratus stole the show at last weekend’s WWE Payback 2023 pay-per-view event, according to WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long.
In the opening match of the show, Lynch defeated Stratus in a Steel Cage match, believed to be the final match of their feud that began in April.
Speaking on a recent edition of the “Wrestle Binge” podcast, Long had nothing but praise for the match. He said,
“Well, my thoughts are it was outstanding. Two girls, putting it on like that, they tore the house down, and like I said, I didn’t expect that much from them. I expected a great match, but I didn’t expect what they put on, so they really stole the show, I can tell you that.”
After the match, Stratus would berate Zoey Stark, resulting in Stark attacking her now-former mentor.
