During Saturday night’s WWE SummerSlam 2022 pay-per-view event, The Mysterios would defeat the team of Finn Balor & Damian Priest (Judgment Day).
Despite Judgment Day having Rhea Ripley in their corner, it would be an interference from the returning Edge that secured the win for The Mysterios in the no-DQ contest.
Following Edge attacking both Priest and Balor, he would leave Balor placed on the ropes, set in place for a 6-1-9. Both Mysterios would then hit the first-ever WWE Universal Champion with the move to secure the 1-2-3.
