According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to take Pat McAfee off NXT TV was made by WWE officials and not Pat himself.
There is some talk that McAfee will return to NXT in the spring. McAfee has worked two matches in NXT, first facing Adam Cole in a singles match and then working the NXT TakeOver: WarGames match.
McAfee took to Twitter earlier this week, congratulating Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch after they retained their titles against Killian Dain and Drake Maverick on Wednesday night’s NXT broadcast.
