As we previously reported here on eWn, Liv Morgan was arrested in Florida on charges of possession of cannabis (not more than 20 grams) and possession of synthetic cannabinoids. The arrest came after a traffic stop in Sumter Country, Florida.
Last week, the prosecutors dropped the possession of synthetic cannabinoids charge against Morgan.
KOMO News is reporting that the most serious charge against Morgan was dropped because proving the case would have been impossible.
An Assistant State Attorney in the county stated, “In order to prove the charge of possession of THC, the State is required to prove that the THC came from synthetic sources and was not derived from plant sources. No labs in the State of Florida perform such tests, so we remanded it to county court as Possession of Cannabis.”
Morgan is still facing a charge of possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams), which was transferred to the County’s Misdemeanor Court Division.
A status conference related to the charge will be held on February 20.
