The controversies related to Joe Rogan have been a main talking point for quite some time now, and The Rock was somehow involved due to initially supporting Rogan. It looks like he has changed his mind however.
Joe Rogan’s podcast was heavily criticized for his takes on the COVID-19 pandemic. After several apologies, The Rock tweeted in support of Rogan. Then, videos of Rogan using the N-word surfaced online and Spotify removed some of his podcast episodes, something they didn’t do after the controversy generated by his questionable opinions on the pandemic.
After being called out by author Don Winslow on his support for Joe Rogan, Dwayne Johnson replied with a message in which he thanked him and admitted he wasn’t aware of Rogan’s past behavior.
Dear @donwinslow
Thank you so much for this
I hear you as well as everyone here 100%
I was not aware of his N word use prior to my comments, but now I've become educated to his complete narrative.
Learning moment for me.Mahalo, brother and have a great & productive weekend.
