Sports Illustrated recently ran a story confirming that five different people call Rocky Johnson their father after DNA tests. One of those five people, Lisa Purvis, arranged the DNA tests to confirm the relation.
All five of the children are adamant that they don’t have any issues with The Rock, and don’t want anything from him. Purvis himself said “Dwayne owes us nothing,” while Adrian Bowles added, “Dwayne has nothing to do with the decisions that his dad made. He doesn’t even know who we are.”
Purvis is actually a filmmaker who was in Vancouver, where she lives, while The Rock was filming Skyscraper in 2017. She said seeing photos and news reports while he was in town made her grow depressed, saying “I only see that our dad loved him and not me.”
The report adds that Rocky Johnson was occasionally in contact with those children, however, his brother, Ricky, was far more involved. He met most of them through Facebook, occasionally holding Zoom meetings with the family regularly. Ricky commented, “I keep reinforcing that I love them. I tell them that all the time, all the kids.”
