Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has unfollowed both the accounts for Warner Bros. Discovery and Black Adam, fueling speculation that future projects for the character are dead.
Black Adam, a project that Johnson has been tied to for over a decade, was released earlier this year and tells the story of the titular DC Comics antihero and protector of the city of Khandaq.
On Instagram, the Brahma Bull unfollowed both accounts, which comes amid huge changes to the DCEU.
After a rocky run, DC has appointed James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad) as the head of all future film projects.
Gunn’s time in charge has seen several projects get scrapped, as well as news that Henry Cavill will not be returning as Superman.
Johnson has been accused of leaking fake numbers about Black Adam to make the film out to be a greater success than it actually is.
Despite a post-credits scene setting up a sequel, a Black Adam 2 has not been publicly greenlit at this time.
