While many people “believed” Joe Hendry would defeat Nic Nemeth to capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday night’s TNA Bound for Glory 2024 pay-per-view event, it wasn’t his night.

During the main event of the show, Hendry and Nemeth were dealing with a special guest referee in the form of Frankie Kazarian, who attempted to cash in his ‘Call Your Shot’ trophy that he won earlier in the night.

WWE Hall of Famer JBL once again showed up, taking out Kazarian with the Clothesline from Hell. He then went outside and said something to Hendry before hitting him with the Clothesline as well. Ryan Nemeth also got one for good measure.

Inside of the ring, Nemeth hit a Danger Zone for a two count. Hendry kicked out but caught a superkick and another Danger Zone, allowing Nemeth to retain.

Nemeth’s reign as TNA World Champion currently stands at 99 days.
