TNA Wrestling had to call off its planned TV tapings in Spartanburg, SC due to weather conditions caused by Hurricane Helene.
Fightful Select is reporting that the company made extensive efforts to hold the tapings, which were crucial for the buildup to TNA Bound For Glory 2024.
Originally scheduled for Friday, the tapings were rescheduled to Monday and Tuesday at one point. TNA had been heavily promoting the tapings, even sending The Hardys to Spartanburg early for media appearances.
TNA staff who were already in the city faced a power outage at their hotel. Due to a lack of vacancies, some had to charge their devices in their cars. With the power outage and the general danger posed by the hurricane, the tapings had to be canceled.
TNA has been deliberating on how to manage its shows leading up to Bound For Glory 2024. One possibility discussed is to use Skyway Studios in Nashville, TN next week, the filming location during the pandemic and the host of Slammiversary 2021.
Thursday’s episode will probably be a “best of” episode in preparation for TNA Bound For Glory 2024.
