John Layfield has dubbed himself the “guardian” of wrestling after costing Joe Hendry the TNA World Championship at Bound for Glory 2024.
During the show, Layfield hit guest referee Frankie Kazarian with the Clothesline from Hell before hitting Hendry with the same maneuver.
On Twitter, Layfield addressed the attack and dubbed himself with a new moniker.

Layfield, who has not been working with the JBL name, began appearing for TNA earlier this year and has often aided World Champion Nic Nemeth.
Nemeth has said he does not know why Layfield has been helping him. The pair were also united during Nemeth’s time as AAA Mega Champion.
The ‘Wanted Man’ has held the TNA World Title since Slammiversary after winning a six-man match that also included Hendry.
