TNA Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy has explained the newest phase of his wrestling career and now believes that he is “The Enlightened Enigma.”
In 2024, Hardy parted ways with AEW and joined TNA Wrestling where he has reunited with his brother Matt, who also left AEW last year.
On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Hardy was asked about the current iteration of his character. He said,
“I feel more than ever, not even like The Charismatic Enigma, [I’m] The Enlightened Enigma, I’m so grateful for the gift of life I have. I was born to be a pro wrestler, and it’s just crazy how it worked out. I had such an opportunity to be a huge wrestling star in my younger 20s but I just went another direction. It would be amazing if I wouldn’t have fell into that dark place in my life from drugs and alcohol to see what would have actually happened.
“But I’ve also had all these other hobbies that I just love. I love motocross like crazy. I eventually broke my leg in 2015 and that pretty much ended my motocross career. I got into music. I just had all these things I never could commit fully to pro wrestling. That’s kind of, I guess, that’s kind of been, it’s hurt my career, definitely a little bit. But again, that’s kind of what makes me interesting as well.”
Could Jeff Hardy have been as big as John Cena during the peak of his WWE career? Jeff certainly believes so. Click here to find out more.
