Matt Hardy is thrilled that Rhino will become a TNA Hall of Famer later this week and believes the Man-Beast is deserving of the accolade.
Rhino will be inducted as part of the Countdown to Bound for Glory event alongside the late Bob Ryder, a co-founder of the promotion.
In a recent interview with TV Insider, Hardy spoke about the induction of the final holder of the original ECW World Championship. He said,
“It’s great. Rhino is a very good choice, especially being here in Detroit. He is Detroit Rock City through and through. I’ve known Rhino for 24 years now, and he is a very deserving guy. He is someone who busted his a** for professional wrestling and contributed so much to the business.”
Rhino joined TNA in 2005 after his WWE career ended and the Man-Beast would capture the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title that same year.
Rhino is also a two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, with his second reign coming alongside long-term WWE ally Heath Slater.
