There were a few title changes and other significant moments at Friday night’s TNA Victory Road 2024 event at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
Mike Bailey defeated Zachary Wentz to reclaim the TNA X-Division Championship at the show. Bailey previously lost the title to Wentz in a multi-man Ultimate X Match at TNA Emergence 2024 last month.
Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) defeated Tasha Steelz & Masha Slamovich to capture the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships at Friday’s event.
Alisha Edwards was set to compete but was replaced by Steelz when she was not cleared.
Following the match, Alisha criticized Slamovich for losing, and Steelz attacked her to ally with Alisha.
The victory marks Spitfire’s second run with the titles, ending Malisha’s reign at 134 days. Slamovich and Edwards defeated Spitfire to win the titles at TNA Under Siege 2024.
Joe Hendry defeated Josh Alexander in a singles match. Hendry made Alexander tap out to the anklelock to pick up the win.
Steph De Lander didn’t compete as scheduled at Friday’s show, stating that she needed surgery to fix a legitimate neck injury. De Lander was supposed to team with Matt Cardona against PCO and Rhino, but before the match began, she announced her inability to compete.
De Lander promised not to retire and declared she had more to give to the business before leaving with PCO. Cardona nailed Rhino with a Radio Silence to score the victory for his team.
And finally, Nic Nemeth successfully retained the TNA World Championship against Moose at TNA Victory Road 2024 with assistance from JBL and Mike Santana.
Santana interfered to neutralize The System’s JDC, while JBL took out Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards. Nemeth nailed Moose with the Zig Zag for the win.
Nemeth won the title from Moose 56 days ago at TNA Slammiversary 2024.
