It’s been years since Steve Maclin competed in a WWE ring, but fans shouldn’t count out a surprise appearance in next year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match.
2024 has seen WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling work together with several stars from both sides competing for the other promotion.
On a recent edition of the “That’s Wrestling” podcast, Maclin spoke about possibly being involved in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. He said,
“If it happens, it happens. I’m very happy with where I am in my spot right now in TNA. Obviously, with the crossover, it’d be awesome because it gets more eyes on me and TNA itself, but I’m just happy with the direction right now and the stories that I’m going through. My feud right now with Josh—I’m enjoying it. But if something was to happen, who knows? Maybe Rumble time.”
Maclin competed as Steve Cutler in WWE but was released in February 2021. He would join TNA in June and is a former TNA World Champion.
The 2025 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event will take place on February 1, from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
