Tommy Dreamer received backlash for what he had to say about Ric Flair’s behavior towards a flight attendant on the infamous Plane Ride from Hell in 2002 special that aired during Dark Side of the Ring last night. During the show, Dreamer said,
“He could move his hips, twirl it and so his well-endowed penis spins around like a helicopter. So, hey, he’s the Nature Boy for a reason, he’s got a hammer on him. Ric Flair’s not going to try to impose by force any sexual stuff onto anybody. He’s just flaunting, styling and profiling, doing the Ric Flair stuff where everybody’s going to laugh about it. But obviously, someone took offense to it.”
According to a report from Pwinsider, Dreamer has been “suspended indefinitely” by Impact Wrestling. According to sources, Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm sent an email to the roster and staff earlier today to announce the suspension.
The company was made aware of what Dreamer said on last night’s Dark Side of the Ring and Nordholm said Dreamer’s comments were “out of line with our core values” as a company.
He added that Dreamer was “asked to leave effective immediately” from today’s TV tapings in Nashville, TN. Nordholm’s
email ended by saying that if anyone had any questions, they could ask him, Gail Kim or Scott D’Amore. As of this writing, Dreamer has yet to comment on his suspension.
